Jan Bridle - Senior Manager, Litigation Support

  • 1967 - Admitted as a Solicitor
  • 1969 - Became a Partner in Aldridge & Brownlee
  • 1995 - Joined Marshalls, having been in private practice for some 25 years (becoming Fortune Peat in 1999) as legal advisor
  • 2005 - Following the merger of Fortune Peat with Portland, became head of Legal Department

"I act as an internal legal expert on insolvency matters with an emphasis on acting within the statutory provisions of the law. However, at the same time, I endeavour to arrive at practical solutions by applying the letter of the law so that an equitable balance between debtor and creditor interests can be achieved.

Helping people who might otherwise bury their heads in the sand and/or can see no light at the end of the tunnel due to their financial position brings its own rewards."
