Liquidations

Taking some of the pressures away from the directors
David operated a small motor dealership, which provided him with a modest income. It was very much a one-man show and David found it increasingly difficult to make profits because of market pressures and constant action from suppliers on prices. Eventually David became seriously ill with heart problems and was advised by doctors to have a permanent and complete break from the business. Clearly, the company needed to be liquidated but David was the sole director and unable to carry out the necessary procedures. We therefore adapted our usual support role and took over the winding up of the company immediately, shortening the usual timescales. We consulted with the major creditors throughout the process and explained why the director would not be able to attend the creditors' meetings.
"If the situation has gone beyond your capabilities, handing over to the liquidator results in an enormous removal of personal stress"
