Insolvency Exam Success
Published on: 18 June 2008
Whiteley-based Portland Business Recovery is celebrating the recent success of one of its employees in the highly acclaimed Joint Insolvency Examination Board (JIEB) examinations.
Nicola Layland has passed the post-graduate level examination considered to be a benchmark in the insolvency profession, allowing those who are successful to apply to become insolvency licence holders.
Nicola, who has not stopped studying since she left school ten years ago, has been preparing for this particular exam for the past nine months. She is now looking to further her career by applying for her licence to become an insolvency practitioner.
"The JIEB exam has been very challenging for me as it is a very hard qualification to pass; not everyone in the profession is successful so I am very proud to have passed first time. It will also make a big difference to my future career prospects at Portland" commented Nicola. "This will also be my first year without any exams since school and so I am looking forward to spending more time gaining practical experience" she added.
Carl Faulds, Managing Director of Portland, added: "I am delighted that Nicola has passed this exam after working so hard for it. It is a major milestone for her career and I wish her every success in her future career."
